Intel Core i5 Benchmarks out!

From the looks of it, Intel's got something golden again. Gawd, another reason to upgrade. And I just went on the Quadcore bandwagon. hahahah! Saw the performance of the i7 and didn't really tickle my whistle. And the prices of triple channel DDR3 are just insane, then there's the motherboard costs, then there's the insane cost of the processor!

Good thing I didn't jump on i7 or else I'd be wasting a ton of money. But then again it's not like the i5's gonna be any cheaper. At least Dual channel kits for DDR3's gonna be a bit cheaper, and the motherboard won't be as bad, or at least the one i'll like won't cost an arm and a leg, okay maybe a leg. Based on the benchmarks, I care mostly on gaming performance alone. (so bad) haha. Looks like Intel's got another winner here.

Power consumption's about the same @ load to an Intel Q8400 which is 170W according to
www.anandtech.com but the idle consumption is only 94w compared to the Q8400's 126.3W. It's just like running an overclocked dual core. I might even use it just for downloading, NOT. haha.

Conclusion:
I'm definitely getting this, as soon as I can afford it. Haha! This I have got to have.
